@matthew_d_green 2019-01-02 14:10:17 @mjos_crypto Has anyone ever optimized these ciphers to work more efficiently when enciphering sequential counters as opposed to CBC/OCB where you have to feed actual plaintext into the cipher? https://twitter.com/matthew_d_green/status/1080466310448975872 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-27 05:54:58 This is a great start on formal verification of the CBC Casper safety proof 🎉 https://t.co/V44AqG7GhF https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1078167335226114048 0.500

@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 20:38:51 @danrobinson Each step in CBC Casper requires just a single trip, while in slow Tendermint there is first the N single trips required to make the N-chain, and then the infrequent decision step which requires multiple round trips... https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072229176302698496 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 20:28:33 @danrobinson I wonder if you would concede that it might be feasible to run CBC Casper with a number of validators so large that it would be infeasible to use Tendermint or slow Tendermint. https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072226586928197634 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 19:37:29 @danrobinson Saying that the overhead of CBC Casper is the same as the overhead of Tendermint, PBFT, etc is VERY misleading https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072213735329185792 -0.500

@AriDavidPaul 2018-12-10 18:20:49 Great thread (with great links) exploring Casper CBC specifically, and Byzantine Fault Tolerance (the cornerstone of cryptocurrency consensus mechanisms) broadly. A balanced look (and links) to relevant arguments from multiple angles. https://t.co/2prgKO6lDt https://twitter.com/AriDavidPaul/status/1072194438108274688 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 17:44:44 @pyrofex @muneeb See this thread for some of the misinterpretations of CBC Casper committed by @pyrofex https://t.co/Jm37W7Z1Hn https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072185360048902146 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 17:15:22 I wonder why all the reviews of the CBC Casper draft so far focus on work that deliberately isn't in the paper 😁😂 https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072177967248355328 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 17:07:04 Check out this review of Muneeb's review of CBC Casper https://t.co/8ZDfRIP99O https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072175879143460865 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 17:05:17 @cannamellia @isTruStory @ethereum @CryptoKitties @VitalikButerin We can tell that things are going to work well before they are fully defined But CBC Casper is arguably less defined than Casper FFG https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072175433171513345 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-10 16:42:22 @isTruStory @JudeCNelson The notion of malicious vote is not even defined in CBC Casper. What is this? https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1072169663650516992 -0.500

@muneeb 2018-12-09 19:24:01 @nlw @glenweyl @Steven_McKie Agreed that these can get (very) technical. Consensus protocol discussions used to be amongst a small set of systems researchers until crypto happened. I added a “TLDR” to the CBC Casper review. Hope that’s helpful. https://twitter.com/muneeb/status/1071847956448493568 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-09 16:47:56 @metaweta @NashEFoster @pyrofex Actually it would, in the abstract CBC Casper sense, but I don't think you understand the latitude that exists in how honest validators apply GHOST https://t.co/OYtwcuKNGn https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1071808675721961472 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-09 16:40:33 @metaweta @talkEther @pyrofex N.b. that GHOST is not part of the abstract CBC Casper spec, and that restrictions include restrictions about when to make messagss, when to send them send, and when to receive messages from which validators, each of which do not affect GHOST. https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1071806817779503104 -0.500
@VitalikButerin 2018-12-09 00:50:16 @kaiynne @glenweyl CBC Casper is beautifully simple actually! https://t.co/OINfQIJwiP https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1071567671597002752 0.500
@zooko 2018-12-08 12:23:31 Great tutorial on Casper CBC! It is conceptually simple. https://t.co/ygSZRU6plz https://twitter.com/zooko/status/1071379748541132802 0.500
@VitalikButerin 2018-12-08 03:46:58 @VladZamfir Sure, but it's not premature when alternate universe Vlad probably could have gotten CBC into beacon chain 1.0 by caring more about getting the tech into reality! https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1071249754087026688 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-08 03:43:41 @NashEFoster @JWestJest @stephendpalley @pyrofex I'm just operating with more information than you are, Mr "CBC Casper isn't live" 😂🤣 https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1071248927985422336 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-08 03:29:48 @NashEFoster @JWestJest @stephendpalley @pyrofex Well no, you get egg on your face the moment there is a single proof of liveness in CBC Casper :) But yes, deploying software is something we are both interested in! https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1071245431080919040 -0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-08 01:11:52 @VitalikButerin @AFDudley0 @muneeb @phildaian @zmanian We both make up terms all the time :) and it's really useful. E.g. you use all sorts of language I never use in describing CBC Casper, like "attestation", "stickiness", and you avoided use of some standard terms that I use happily, like "decided". How about "plausible liveness"? https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1071210720702930944 0.500
@VladZamfir 2018-12-08 00:47:31 @mapM_ @SNEngee31 @muneeb @pyrofex @NashEFoster @GetGitcoin If you had the incentive to make a working CBC Casper liveness strategy and you ran into problems, you would have reached out to us to make sure you weren't misunderstanding anything (as @muneeb did, thereby greatly improving the quality of his review) https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/1071204591855792128 0.500
